Our outstanding physical environment and overall approach to teaching and learning reflect current educational research and promotes engagement, explicit teaching, creativity and individual differentiation. We have a strong and proactive Learning and Support Team which expertly caters for children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities as well as those identified as High Potential or Gifted.
Our school strives to provide a wide range of extra curricula activities that are carefully selected to cater for a wide range of interests and talents. These include: a large and highly successful Band program, a diverse internal and representative sporting program, an Artist In Residence program, a Debating and Public Speaking program, an acclaimed Dance program and a range of High Potential and Gifted initiatives such as involvement in the annual Tournament of The Minds competition.
The successful and meaningful integration of technology to enhance learning outcomes is also a major focus of the school. Every learning space is equipped with an interactive screen and our students have ready access to laptop and tablet technology, including our Year 5 and 6 students who are provided with one laptop each.
In an effort to increase our students' level of Global Awareness and Citizenship we have established major partnerships with Bourke Public School, The Pararoos (Australia's National Football Team for athletes with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury or symptoms acquired from stroke) and Blaxcell Street Public School.
