Creative arts

Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.

Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.

The Artist in Residence Program

Since 2007, Roseville Public School has supported the development of creative skills through the Artist-in-Residence program.  In line with the requirements of the Department of Education, the Program ensures creative arts opportunities for students and the development of visual communication skills that prepare students to live, learn and work in a digital environment. Every class from Years 2-6 participates in the program, for a double period (80min) lesson per week for a full term. Our Artist in Residence, Steph Ryan, provides an interactive and inspirational learning experience, where students can work with a passionate expert, ask questions and brainstorm ideas.
